Hallo, wir sind Awake Consciousness, eine Metalcore-Band aus Madrid, Spanien, die Post-Core Progressive Groove spielt. Wir freuen uns, hier zu sein.

Wann und wie seid ihr zur Musik gekommen?

Wir sind seit über 15 Jahren im Musikgeschäft tätig und haben individuell an verschiedenen Projekten gearbeitet.

AWAKE wurde 2018 als Idee von Danfred und Ira Kero gegründet, später kamen Manu Valler und dann Erik Grajo und Pol DQ hinzu. Die Idee war, einen modernen und progressiven Sound und eine Botschaft für die Gesellschaft zu schaffen. Wir haben uns zum Ziel gesetzt, eine einzigartige Show zu kreieren, deshalb bringen wir zu jedem Konzert eine Pole-Dance-Stange mit, von der aus Ira Kero singt und performt.

Lebt ihr hauptberuflich von der Musik? Wenn nein, was ist euer Beruf?

In der heutigen Welt ist es notwendig, zwei oder drei verschiedene Jobs zu haben, um ein Projekt auf die Beine zu stellen. Für uns ist klar, dass wir von unserem Beruf als Musiker leben wollen, da wir all unsere Professionalität und Erfahrung dafür einsetzen.
Ira Kero ist Rechtsanwältin und Pole-Dance-Lehrerin, Pol DQ ist Logistiktechniker, Manu Valler ist Bank-Cybersicherheitsexperte, Erik Grajo ist TV-Toningenieur und Danfred ist internationaler Handelsverkehrsexperte.
Wir sind auch Musiker und beschäftigen uns mit darstellender Kunst und Musikproduktion.

Wie entsteht ein Song? Zuerst die Melodie oder zuerst der Text?

Wir nehmen eine Idee, ein Gitarrenriff oder ein Drum-Riff, und daran arbeiten wir dann. Ira Kero sucht nach dem Sinn dessen, worüber er in den Texten und der Melodie der Stimmen sprechen möchte, entsprechend dem Gefühl, das diese neue Kreation, an der wir arbeiten, vermittelt.

Was ist eure Inspirationsquelle?

Unsere Inspirationsquelle ist das Leben, Situationen, das, was man jeden Tag sieht, und diese Details des Lebens, und wir übersetzen das in Riffs, Texte, Melodien oder musikalische Rhythmen, kraftvoll, aggressiv oder emotional und episch.

Nach welchen Kriterien wird die Setlist zusammengestellt?

Wir möchten eine Emotion oder einen Moment der Verbindung mit unserem Publikum vermitteln, daher sind wir sehr anspruchsvoll, wenn es darum geht, zu entscheiden, wohin wir das Publikum von der ersten Sekunde an mit unserer Arbeit mitnehmen wollen.

Was bedeutet Musik für euch?

Sie ist eine sehr kraftvolle Sprache, mit der Emotionen, Ideen und Überzeugungen vermittelt werden können. Musik ist die universelle Sprache der Verbindung der Seele und des Transzendentalen des Bewusstseins, sie ist eine sehr mächtige Waffe oder ein sehr mächtiges Werkzeug, um eine Botschaft zu vermitteln, zum Beispiel wie die, die wir transportieren.

Welche Musik hört ihr privat?

Jeder von uns hat seinen persönlichen und privaten Geschmack, aber wir hören Pop, klassische Musik, keltische Musik, Meditationsmusik oder Metal im Allgemeinen. Wir sind sehr vielseitig, und das gibt uns Ideen für unsere Kreativität.

Gibt es musikalische Vorbilder?

Wir mögen Metalcore und Groove, Modern Metal oder Progressive. Unser Vorbild ist es, das zu tun, was uns in diesem Moment gefällt und was uns ein gutes Gefühl gibt und stolz auf unsere Arbeit macht.

Was ist die wichtigste Erfindung im Bereich Musikausrüstung aller Zeiten – und warum?

Der Phonograph war das erste gängige Gerät zur Aufnahme und Wiedergabe von Ton in der Geschichte der Menschheit.

Seitdem haben wir Fortschritte gemacht und uns bis heute verbessert.

Erzählt von eurer besten oder schlimmsten Erfahrung auf der Bühne.

Gute Erfahrungen mit unserem Publikum, eine Verbindung zu ihm, die schon immer bestand, und wir sind immer sehr dankbar für jedes Konzert, das wir geben, auch weil es überrascht ist, wenn eine Show anders ist, als es es gewohnt ist.

Gibt es Rituale vor der Show?

Bevor wir spielen, treffen wir uns, stoßen mit den Fäusten aneinander und schreien, aber immer fröhlich.

Was würdet ihr eurem 18-jährigen Ich sagen?

Wir würden ihm nichts sagen, denn jede Handlung hat eine Reaktion zur Folge.
Wir würden einfach sagen: Genieße die Reise und mache alles mit Leidenschaft.

Was macht ihr, wenn euch niemand sieht?

Meditieren, Pole Dance, schlafen und auch proben.

Habt ihr irgendwelche schlechten Angewohnheiten?

In der Band haben wir hauptsächlich keine schlechten Angewohnheiten, wir arbeiten eher alle zusammen und proben. Ira Kero zum Beispiel arbeitet viel an der Pole-Dance-Stange, da wir diese in unsere Shows einbauen und sie von der Pole-Dance-Stange aus singt. Es erfordert also viel körperliche Anstrengung und Gesangstechnik, um beides in unseren Konzerten zu kombinieren.

Was ist der seltsamste Ort, an dem du jemals gewesen bist?

Als wir das Musikvideo zu „Evolution Is Fear” gedreht haben, haben wir in einem Tunnel gefilmt, der im Spanischen Bürgerkrieg genutzt wurde. Der Ort vermittelte ein Gefühl von Schmerz, Angst und Tod.

Was bringt dich auf die Palme?

Wenn alles bereit ist und dann in letzter Minute etwas schief geht.
Das Gute daran ist, dass wir selbst dann, wenn wir nervös sind, in der Lage sind, die Situation zu lösen und den Stress zu kontrollieren.

Gibt es etwas, was Fans tun könnten, das für euch ein absolutes No-Go wäre?

Dass sie zu uns kommen und die Songs mit uns singen. Das ist tatsächlich auf unserer letzten Tour passiert, es war unglaublich

Seid ihr nah an den Fans oder zieht ihr es vor, euch zurückzuhalten?

Wir lieben es, mit Fans zu sprechen, wir lieben ihr Feedback, dass sie ein Teil von uns sind und über Dinge sprechen, die im Alltag passieren.

Was möchtet ihr euren Fans noch mitteilen?

Wie wir in unseren Songs und Botschaften sagen: Denkt daran, dass ihr freie, mächtige und souveräne Wesen seid.

Hello we are Awake Consciousness metalcore band Post-Core progressive Groove from Madrid Spain.
We are happy to be here.

When and how did you come to music?

We’ve been in the music business for over 15 years, working on various projects individually.
AWAKE was born in 2018, the brainchild of Danfred and Ira Kero, later joined by Manu Valler and later Erik Grajo and Pol DQ. The idea was to create a modern and progressive sound and a message for society. We’re dedicated to creating a unique show, which is why we bring a
Pole Dance bar to every concert we give, from which Ira Kero sings and performs.

Do you live from music full-time? If no, what is your profession?

Nowadays, in the world we live in, it is necessary to have two or three types of jobs in order to get a
project off the ground. It is clear to us that we want to make a living from our profession as
musicians, as we dedicate all our professionalism and experience to it.
Ira Kero is a lawyer and teacher Pole Dance, Pol DQ is a logistic technician, Manu Valler is a
bank cyber security, Erik Grajo is a TV mixer, Danfred is an international commercial traffic.
We are also musicians and we do performing arts and music production.

How is a song created? First the melody, or first the lyrics?

We take an idea, a guitar riff or a drum riff, and on that we work, then Ira Kero is looking for the
sense of what he wants to talk about in the lyrics and melody of voices, according to the feeling that
this new creation that we are working on is giving.

What is your source of inspiration?

Our source of inspiration is life, situations, what you see every day and those details of life, and we
translate that into riffs, lyrics, melodies or musical rhythms, powerful aggressive or emotional and
epic.

According to which criteria is the setlist put together?

We seek to transmit an emotion or a moment of connection with our audience, so we are very
demanding with ourselves when we choose to know where to take the audience from the first
second 1 with our work.

What does music mean to you?

It is a very powerful language where emotions, ideas and beliefs can be transmitted, music is the
universal language of the connection of the soul and of the transcendental of the consciousness, it is
a very powerful weapon or tool to transmit a message, for example like the one we carry.

What music do you listen to privately?

Each of us have our personal and private tastes, but we have from pop, classical music, celtic music,
meditation music, or metal music in general. we are very generic and that gives us ideas to create.

Are there any musical role models?

We like metalcore and groove, modern metal, or progressive. The model to follow is to do what we
like at that moment and that makes us feel good and proud of our work.

What is the most important music equipment invetion of all time-and why?

The phonograph was the first common device for recording and reproducing sound in human
history. From that moment on, we have progressed and improved, until today.

Tell us about your best or worst experience on stage.

Good experiences with our audience, a connection with them since always, and we are always very
grateful for them in every concert we give, also because they are surprised when a show is different
from what they are used to seeing.

Are there any rituals before the show?

Meeting before playing we bump fists and shout, but always happy

What would you say to your 18-year old self?

We wouldn’t say anything to him because every action has a reaction.
We would simply say, enjoy the journey and do everything with passion.

What do you do when no ones sees you?

Meditation, Pole Dance, Sleeping also rehearsing,

Do you have any bad habits?

Mainly in the band we don’t have bad habits, we are more about working all together and
rehearsing, for example Ira Kero works a lot on the Pole dance bar since we include it in our shows
and she sings from the Pole dance bar, so it requires a lot of physical effort and vocal technique to
combine both in our concerts.

What’s the strangest place you’ve ever been?

When we made the music video for Evolution Is Fear,
we filmed in a tunnel that was used in the Spanish Civil War. The place conveyed a sense of pain,
anguish, and death.

What drives you up the wall?

Everything is ready, and then something goes wrong at the last minute.
The good thing is that even when we’re nervous, we’re able to resolve the situation and control
stress .

Is there anything that fans might do that would be an absolote no-go for you?

That they come up and sing the songs with us, in fact it happened on this last tour we had, it was
incredible

Close to the fans or would you prefer to keep to yourself?

We love talking to fans, we love their feedback, their being a part of us, and talking about things
that happen in everyday life.

What else would you like to tell your fans?

As we say in our songs and messages, Remember, you are a free, powerful, and sovereign being.
