Bandvorstellung:

Wir sind Kaa (Vokals und Lyrics), Veto (Keys, Production & Backing Vocals) und Finton (Guitar, Piano, Banking Vocals) und zusammen sind wir die Avantgarde Synthrock-Band „ANTIAGE“ aus
Thüringen.
Unser offizieller Vorstellungstext klingt so: „In diesen verrückten Zeiten hat selbst das weiße Kaninchen seine Orientierung verloren! Doch sein neuer Fixstern ist die Avantgarde Synthrock- Band „ANTIAGE”.
Die drei Mannen aus dem Zentrum der Republik kreieren neue Welten und verführen die Hörer und Zuschauer, ihnen dorthin zu folgen.
ANTIAGE nehmen mit auf eine Reise durch tiefschwarze Täler der Seele, über die steinig-steilen grauen Hänge des Lebens bis hin zu den schmalen, hell erleuchteten Gipfeln der Ekstase.
Selbst schon einiges erlebt erzählen ANTIAGE Geschichten aus dem echten Leben, künstlerisch verpackt
und garniert mit Mythen, Fiktionen und Träumen. Geschichten, die immer wieder zum Entdecken anregen.“
In unseren Songs vereinigen wir leise, pianogetragene Melodien mit lauten Gitarrenriffs, zarte Popklänge mit sägenden Synthesizer-Wänden. In unserem Spektrum hört man Einflüsse von Depeche Mode, einer Portion Marilyn Manson während der „Mechanical Animals“ -Phase, einer Brise Bowie und großspurigen queenesken Vocal- und Songarrangements. Eine bunte Mischung aus dem Besten für kreativen und eingängigen Sound!
Auch visuell legen wir sehr viel Wert auf Perfektion und Ästhetik. Ob in unseren aufwendigen Musikvideos oder bei unseren Liveshows, wir wissen immer, Akzente zu setzen und unsere Zuschauer zu überraschen und sie in unseren Bann zu ziehen.

Wann und wie seit ihr zur Musik gekommen?

Wir haben im Dezember 2019 begonnen in dieser Formation Musik zu machen, da zu dieser Zeit keiner von uns fest involviert in anderen Bands war. Veto und Kaa wollten sowieso seit langem etwas zusammen machen, was aber durch Verpflichtungen in anderen Projekten bis dahin nie klappte.
2019 haben wir uns dann endlich zusammengesetzt und an erstem Material gearbeitet.
Wir 3 haben vorher schon alle in verschiedenen Bands gespielt und auch an anderen Projekten in (sehr) unterschiedlichen Richtungen gearbeitet.
Jeder von uns hat also eine komplett eigene Geschichte, was den musikalischen Werdegang betrifft.

Wie entsteht ein Song? Erst die Melodie, oder erst der Text?

Das ist sehr unterschiedlich. Manche Songs entstehen aus 4 Takten musikalischer Fragmente.
Andere Songs werden aus einer (meist instrumentalen) Demo geboren und in seltenen Fällen liegt ein schon fertig geschriebener Song vor, der noch textlich und soundtechnisch optimiert wird, sodass er den typischen ANTIAGE Sound bekommt.
„Don’t let me sleep“ haben wir beispielsweise innerhalb von 24 Stunden geschrieben, komponiert und fertig produziert, aber das ist keine Normalität.

Was bedeutet Musik für Euch?

Selbstverwirklichung und Alltag. Weder als Konsumenten noch als Künstler ist Musik aus unserem Leben wegzudenken.
Dazu kommt, dass Kunst im Allgemeinen, aber speziell Musik Menschen über unterschiedliche Emotionen miteinander verbindet, die sonst oft im Leben wenig gemeinsam haben.

Fünf Fakten über Euch

1. Wir sind die erste Band, der das weiße Kaninchen folgt. Dieses taucht z.B. in jedem unserer
Musikvideos auf.
2. Unser Bandname wird durchgängig in Großbuchstaben geschrieben, also „ANTIAGE“
3. Wir haben eine kollektive Liebe zu „Gin-Tonic“ (wenn es mal was zu feiern gibt)
4. Zu jeder Single, die wir veröffentlicht haben, gibt es eine Piano Version, eingespielt von
unserem Finton Connedy.
5. Wir haben zu Beginn des Jahres 2023 den Newcomer-Contest „Battle of the Bands“ vom
bekannten Szenemagazin „Sonic Seducer“ gewonnen.

Was möchtet Ihr Euren Fans noch sagen?

Danke an alle, die uns bis hierhin so wahnsinnig toll unterstützt haben.
Im Zeitalter von SocialMedia und Streaming ist jeder einzelne Follower, jeder einzelne Kommentar und jeder einzelne Hörer wichtig und trägt zur Reichweite einer Band bei. Die Krone setzen diejenigen auf,
die noch physische Tonträger oder Merch kaufen und somit Bands wie uns, gerade im Alternative- Bereich, direkt unterstützen.

Seit diesem Jahr sind wir als Band bei dem Label „Infacted Recordings“ unter Vertrag. Am 26. Mai
2023 veröffentlichten wir unser Debütalbum „Aphrodisiac Odyssey“.

We are Kaa (Vocals and Lyrics), Veto (Keys, Production & Backing Vocals) and Finton (Guitar, Piano, Banking Vocals) and together we are the Avantgarde Synthrock-Band “ANTIAGE” from Thuringia.
Our official introductory text sounds like this: “In these crazy times even the white rabbit has lost its rabbit has lost his orientation! But his new fixed star is the Avantgarde Synthrock- Band “ANTIAGE”. The three men from the center of the republic create new worlds and seduce the listeners and spectators to follow them there.
ANTIAGE take you on a journey through the deep black valleys of the soul, over the stony-steep gray slopes of life to the narrow, brightly lit peaks of ecstasy.
Even ANTIAGE tell stories from real life, artistically packaged and garnished with myths and garnished with myths, fictions and dreams. Stories that always inspire to discover to discover.”
In our songs we unite soft, piano-led melodies with loud guitar riffs, delicate pop sounds with sawing synthesizer walls. In our spectrum you can hear influences of Depeche Mode, a portion of Marilyn Manson during the “Mechanical Animals”-phase, a Breeze Bowie and cocky queenesque vocal and song arrangements.
A colorful mixture of the best for creative and catchy sound!
Visually, we also put a lot of emphasis on perfection and aesthetics. Whether in our elaborate music videos or at our live shows, we always know how to set accents and to surprise our and to surprise our audience and to draw them into our spell.

When and how did you guys get into music?

We started making music in this formation in December 2019, since at that time none of us was none of us was firmly involved in other bands. Veto and Kaa wanted to do something together for a long time anyway.
Something together for a long time, but due to commitments in other projects until then, it never worked out. In 2019 we finally got together and worked on some first material.
All 3 of us have played in different bands and worked on other projects in (very) different directions. (very) different directions. So each of us has a completely different
story concerning the musical development.

How does a song come into being? First the melody, or first the lyrics?

That is very different. Some songs are created from 4 bars of musical fragments.
Other songs are born from a (mostly instrumental) demo and in rare cases there is an already written song and in rare cases there is an already written song, which is still optimized lyrically and sound-technically, so that it gets the typical ANTIAGE sound. “Don’t let me sleep”, for example, we wrote, composed and finished producing within 24 hours, but that’s not normality.

What does music mean to you?

Self-realization and everyday life. Neither as consumers nor as artists can we imagine our lives without music. life without music.
In addition, art in general, but music in particular, connects people through different emotions with each other, who otherwise often have little in common in life.

Five facts about you

1. we are the first band that follows the white rabbit. This appears e.g. in every one of our
   music videos.
2. our band name is written in capital letters throughout, i.e. “ANTIAGE”.
3. we have a collective love for “Gin-Tonic” (when there is something to celebrate)
4. for every single we have released, there is a piano version, recorded by our own
   our Finton Connedy.
5. at the beginning of the year 2023 we have won the newcomer contest “Battle of the Bands” from the
   by the well-known scene-magazine “Sonic Seducer”.

What else would you like to say to your fans?

Thank you to all of you who have supported us so insanely great up to this point. In the age of social media and streaming, every single follower, every single comment and every single listener is listener is important and contributes to the reach of a band. The crown is put on those, who still buy physical records or merch and thus directly support bands like us, especially in the alternative- especially in the alternative genre.
We hope that you will continue to follow our journey, because we can promise one thing promise:
It will never be boring and quiet.

Since this year we are signed as a band to the label “Infacted Recordings”. On May 26th
